Read your books from your own code or an AI assistant, and let an AI app you sign in with 42six propose changes you confirm: a read-only REST API and an MCP server.

What you can do today

  • Read your entities, chart of accounts, posted journal entries and lines, bank transactions, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet and dashboard figures, plus what still needs review, your rules, reconciliations and locked periods, over a REST API.
  • Give an AI assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol (Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and others) the same fourteen reads as tools.
  • An API key only reads: nothing you do with a key changes your books.
  • Sign an AI app in with 42six instead of a key and it can also propose changes: categorize bank transactions, move lines to another account, post a journal entry, reverse a manual entry or add a rule. Each change is a preview you confirm; nothing changes until you do.

Your first request

Create an API key under Settings › API keys, then list your entities:

Shell
curl https://auth.42six.ai/functions/v1/api/v1/entities \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ftx_YOUR_KEY"

Every other read takes an entity id from that list. Start with API keys, then the REST API or MCP page.
